Job Purpose:
As part of the Regulatory Affairs Team:
- Management and compliance of the regulatory business requirements for the UK and Ireland and relevant changes due to UK leaving the EU.
- Ability to support other Regulatory Affairs Officer in other EU countries.
- The portfolio of products to be managed includes: pesticides, biocides, fertiliser, seeds and growing media.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the pesticide/biocide/fertiliser registrations in the UK and Ireland (UK/IE) and other EU countries where required.
- Work with the International team in the submission or new or re-registration dossiers for the controls products (PPP and Biocides).
- Create and prepare local documentation such as MSDS’s, Poison Control Notifications. Monitor changes in legislation such as CLP, REACH, Explosive Precursor, Aerosol Directive etc. from an EU and UK perspective.
- Work with the local sales/distributor and marketing team to sign off on labels, catalogues and advertising etc. from a regulatory perspective.
- Advise the business on registration strategies for the (UK/IE) especially in terms of Brexit.
- Liaison with regulatory authorities and actively participate in industry associations.
- Supporting Purchasing/Supply Chain with market knowledge and sourcing of third party products.
- Supervision as necessary of contractors.
- Monitor local legislation & communicate any emerging issues.
- Help in preparation of Regulatory Affairs budget.
About you:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Higher degree e.g. MSc or PhD (preferred)
- At least 7 years' industrial regulatory experience.
- Experience of pesticide or biocides registration systems for Europe and UK/IE.
- Contacts within Registration authorities in EU and UK.
- Ability to find and interpret physchem, toxicological, ecotoxicology or environmental information.
